Karen loved going to the beach and spending time in the pool. She enjoyed casually sketching floor plans and was always interested in Psychology. She cherished time spent with friends. Listening to music, singing, and watching nature brought her peace. Most importantly, she lived for her family. She was always excited to hear what was going on in our lives. She loved planning vacations with the family. She enjoyed movies with her granddaughter Emily and watching her grandson Justin race his Sprint car. She will forever be remembered as a loving mother, fun grandma, adored by her nieces and nephews, and the best sister ever.
Karen is survived by her two loving daughters: Dawn Johnson (Johnny); Dianna Sheridan (Christopher); four grandchildren: Justin Johnson (Maddie); Emily Knopp (Matt); Connor Sheridan and Cole Sheridan; a great granddaughter, Preslee Knopp and a great-grandson Jameson Johnson; three sisters: Ali Brown (Jerry); Renee Howard; Robin Frazell (Ed); and a half-sister Donna Poncelow (Douglas); three nieces; four nephews; and twelve great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; two brothers: Kevin Wilds and Donald Wilds, Jr.
The Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m., Friday, December 9, 2022 at Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville, MO. A Memorial service celebrating Karen’s life will commence at 6:00 p.m. at the chapel with Pastor Brady Testorff officiating. In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions are suggested to the BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant) program at The University of Kansas Health System.

Rest in Peace my dear Friend.
I lost my best friend . We had so many memories from high school, weddings, births and life! I was luckily to have 5 days with her in September and laugh about all those memories! My heart goes out to all the family but especially Dawn and Diana who have stood by her side through it off. Love to all of you!
Our Thoughts and prayers go out to Dawn and Diana and family sorry for your loss
