Karen Louise Buesking, 65, a Northland resident of Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully on Friday, December 4, 2020 at NorthCare Hospice. Karen was born July 27, 1955 to Fred and Louise (Houston) McDaniel in East St. Louis, IL.
Karen was united in marriage with Craig John Buesking on May 21, 1988 in Belleville, IL.
Karen was self-employed in the Northland area as a hair-stylist, teacher and cosmetologist for 45 years; she was also a former partner of Salon Ego’s. She was extremely gifted and talented as a stylist. Karen would tell you “If you love what you do….you will never work a day in your life.”
Words alone cannot begin to describe Karen, but if you had to choose a single word, she will always be remembered as: fun, friendly, kind, lots of sass, loving, level-headed and she never judged anyone. Everyone that met Karen felt the energy of her love. Her love for life and family was always her priority.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Craig Buesking (January 7, 2007), her father, Fred McDaniel and a sister, Kathleen Baudendistel. Karen is survived by her loving daughters: McLane Louise Buesking of Kansas City, MO and Kyndal Lee Wolf and her husband, Darren of Kansas City, MO; one granddaughter, Harper; her mother, Louise McDaniel of Belleville, IL; a brother, Kevin McDaniel of Belleville, IL; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
Cremation will take place per Karen’s wishes. A Celebration of Karen’s life will be held at a later date. Dear Lanee and Kyndal, We are so very sorry for your loss. Your Mom truly was full of sass, fun and so full of life. I am blessed to call her dear friend for 20+ years. As neighbors and friends we were there for each other with the ups and downs of life. She was a dear friend. I will miss her. If you girls need anything feel free to call me any time. We are sending our love and support to you both. Love, Patti and Bob
For 30 years I have looked forward to my monthly visit to Karen’s chair. I had the pleasure of sharing our family stories and getting to know her personally and watch Lanee and Kendal grow up. To know Karen was to love her. Her strength and zest for life brought a smile to everyone around her. Heaven gained a special angel! Rest In Peace sweet friend. Prayers for her sweet girls. She leaves behind such a beautiful legacy of two strong women.
