Joyce T. Milne, 74, of Parkville, MO passed away peacefully on Monday, October 2, 2023 with her loving husband at her side. Joyce was born September 23, 1949 to Albert and Emma (Dixon) Tingley in Digby, Nova Scotia.
Joyce enjoyed traveling with Jim to domestic and international destinations. One of her favorite and most relaxing get-away spots was in Cambria, CA; a small cottage located just off the beach, feeling a cool sea breeze blowing thru the open windows and listening to the soothing sounds of the ocean waves. So relaxing! Together Joyce and Jim traveled several times to Europe, Spain and Scotland.
Joyce will be remembered for her passion to cook an excellent meal for family and friends, and her extensive library of cookbooks.
If Joyce could share her motto of life, we think it would be “Take time to relax and enjoy life with your loved ones”.
Joyce is survived by her husband James “Jim” Milne; a sister Elaine Macintosh; a niece Stephanie and a nephew Tobin. She was preceded in death by both parents and her first husband Larry Jones.
I always wanted a sister, but as sister-in-law, you “filled the bill”. Our many wonderful
dinners will always be fondly remembered, you as culinary talent and me as eager patron.
Your affinity for reading, marvelous cooking and warmth of personality are what I will
remember most. I will miss you.
Joyce was truly one of the good ones, both gracious and mild.
I remember the day Joyce and Jim were married 29 years ago. She was so happy and had the biggest smile on her face the whole day. I’ll miss her.
Jim, I am so sorry for your loss!
I always enjoyed seeing the both of you while working my Saturday shift.
She was a kind soul with a great smile.
