Joyce Kay Kile, 71, a resident of Parkville, MO, formerly of Rochester HIlls, MI, Claremont, CA, and St. Mary’s, OH, passed away November 16, 2022. She was born September 5, 1951 in Lima, OH to Walter and Marjorie (Hotz) Beining.
Joyce married her high school sweetheart Daniel Lee Kile on May 18, 1973. Together for more than 50 years, they raised three children, Daniel Lee Kile, Jr. of Brooklyn, NY, Jenna Kay Kile of Denver, CO and Lindzay Day Kile of Brooklyn, NY. Joyce graduated from St. Mary’s High School and earned a BS in Elementary Education from Bowling Green State University. She taught primary school for five years in Akron and Chicago, and her most important job was as a loving mom and wife. Joyce loved to travel and was never happier than at the beach or visiting one of her favorite vineyards. She enjoyed playing tennis, baking cookies, watching football, visiting her kids and granddogs, celebrating Christmas—and a well-made Manhattan.
Joyce is survived by her husband and three children, as well as ten of her eleven siblings and dozens of nieces and nephews.
The family requests privacy at this time and asks that in lieu of gifts donations be made in Joyce’s name to the American Heart Association.
A memorial service celebrating Joyce will be held at a later date. Memories of Joyce and condolences to the family may be shared at meyersfuneralchapel.com.

Joyce was amazing woman and mother. She was always so kind and took care of me like I was her own after my knee surgery. I am so sorry for your loss and am sending love and strength.

Dear Dan, Daniel, Jenna and Lindzay,
We were so sorry to hear of Joyce’s passing. It’s been well over 20 years since we’ve seen your family but fondly recall the years you lived behind us in Rochester Hills. Joyce and I would stand at the bus stop talking until the kids boarded the bus. We enjoyed sharing experiences, recipes and life. There was no doubt she was devoted to all of you. You were the focus of her life. Jenna and our Adam played together when in elementary school. Daniel always greeted me with a smile and Lindzay, the youngest, was always so sweet. Please know you are all in my prayers.
To Joyce’s family….her husband Dan and their children Dan, Jenna and Lindzay and my dear Beining cousins. I was shocked to just hear about Joyce’s passing. I have such fond childhood memories of Joyce and her entire family, this news about her truly makes me sad.
Please know you have my deepest sympathy.
To the Kile family… so sorry for your loss . Joyce’s infectious smile and enthusiasm is what I remember most about her from High School in St Marys.
I remember my former classmate as being liked by everyone. Friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to be an ear for those of us who needed a listener. R.I.P.
Dan and Family,
You have my deepest sympathy. Joyce was always very nice to me.
Sincerely,
Darlene Liesner, Class of 1969
Dan and family, prayers for you on your loss, Joyce will be missed by many and always remembered by all.
