The Mass of Christian Burial will be Con-celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at St. Therese Catholic Church with Rev. Joe Cisetti as principal celebrant. Entombment with military honors under the auspices of the United States Navy will follow at Resurrection North Cemetery. The Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m. Monday at the Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville, where visitation will follow until 8:00 p.m.
Joseph grew up in Kansas City, KS attending St. Peter’s Grade School, and graduated from Bishop Ward High School in 1961. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1962 and was honorably discharged in 1966, at which time he attended Donnelly College receiving a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. Joe was hired at TWA in December of 1966 as an airline mechanic. Throughout his years at TWA and continuing his education with the airlines, he retired from TWA/American in November of 2004 as an airline inspector after 38 years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, boating, time at the lake house, and most importantly his six grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen of 44 years and three daughters Laura (Dan) Sanai, Kimberly (Will) Manis and Cheryl (Craig) Stone, and six grandchildren, Ella and Savannah Sanai, Samuel and Jacob Manis and Hannah and Ty Stone. He is also survived by his sister Nancy (Barney) Carroll, Tim (Karen) Lindquist and Mark (Linda) Lindquist and many nieces and nephew. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Sarahelen Lindquist.
