Jonathan G. Dudley, 31, a Northland resident in Kansas City, MO, formerly of Kearney, MO passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 13, 2012 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident near Interstates I-70 and 635 in Kansas City, KS. Jonathan was born February 18, 1981 to Jeffery G. Dudley, Sr. and Paula Clevenger in Temple, TX.
Jon worked at Sunflower Tow as a Tow truck driver. He took pride in being a good father to his son, Dayton Horn-Dudley. “Dudley” enjoyed riding his Harley with girlfriend, Heather, friends and family. He had a heart-of-gold when it came to riding for a cause. He rode in several annual runs for charities close to his heart; March of Dimes – Bikers for Babies Kansas City, Michael Bergan’s Hands to Heart, Night Train Run. His favorite annual ride was with ED’s Posse for March of Dimes – Bikers for Babies, Kansas City. ED’s Posse is the largest contributor in the United States for the March of Dimes. “DLD” took a lot of pride in wearing his patch alongside brothers and sisters as the posse was his second family.
He is survived by his son, Dayton Horn-Dudley of the home; mother, Paula J. Clevenger and step-father, David Clevenger of Holt, MO; father, Jeff G. Dudley, Sr. of Arlington, TX; two brothers: Jeff Dudley, Jr. (Nina) of Cameron, MO, Michael Groom (Julie) of Lawson, MO; three nieces, three nephews; and loving companion, Heather Horn of the home.
The body will be removed from the Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville, MO to arrive at the Hidden Valley Funeral Home in Kearney, MO on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 where the family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Hidden Valley with Pastor Roger Cook officiating. A Harley Drawn Motorcycle Hearse will lead the procession to the Antioch Cemetery in Holt, MO following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to a memorial fund that is currently being established for his son, Dayton.
