Johnny T. Meyers, 94, a resident of Kansas City, MOpassed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO. He was born September 14, 1924 in San Antonio, TX to John and Juanita (Aquino) Meyers.
Johnny married the love of his life Reba Marjean Vaughn on December 4, 1950 in Kansas City, MO. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. Johnny was Catholic by faith. He enjoyed watching sports, loved listening to Mexican music, going to thrift stores with Reba looking for treasures and making sure his rose bushes in the front yard looked beautiful. Johnny cherished the time spent with family and friends, especially the time spent with his grandchildren.
Survivors include, children, Dolores Meyers Moore of Henderson, NV, John Meyers (Bonnie) of Blue Springs, Kay Hoff (Dale) of Raymore, MO, Kyle Meyers (Marilyn) of Blue Springs, MO, Ronnie Stafford (Patty) of Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Stacey Page, Natalie Young, Nicky Alaniz, Justin Hoff, Abby Hoff, Janessa Meyers, Leaanna Meyers, Hannah McDaniel, Joshua Meyers, Alexis Meyers, Ariannah Meyers, Skyler Meyers, Matthew Stafford, Sara Stafford Lear; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Roldolfo Meyers of San Antonio, TX, Allen Meyers Sr. (Phyllis) of Las Vegas, NV, Robert Meyers of San Diego, CA. He is preceded in death by his wife, Reba Meyers; parents, John and Juanita Meyers; brother, Milton Meyers; sister, Anna Marie Meyers; half-sister, Josie Rendon.
Memorial service for Johnny will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St, Blue Springs. Memories of Johnny and word of comfort for his family may be shared at meyersfuneralchapel.com.
