It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jerry Frank Cipolla, an entrepreneur, real estate investor and landlord who touched the lives of many.
Born June 4, 1953, in Rockford, Illinois, the son of the late Ann (Zammuto) Cipolla and James Cipolla.
Jerry attended St. Anthony’s elementary school and graduated from Boylan High School in Rockford IL.
An avid traveler, he cherished his ski trips to Colorado as a young man. He treasured the time with family and friends in Florida. Over the years he visited Mexico and Central America. He made lasting friends wherever he went. More recently, Las Vegas was his winter home.
Survivors include, his sister Theresa Provenzano (Albert), Denver, CO nephews, Peter Provenzano (Heather), Rockford, IL and Matthew Provenzano (Sarah), Denver CO and his beloved fiancé, Meg Sneed, Lake Tapawingo, MO.
Jerry loved his extended family in Rockford, IL and Tucson, AZ. He was so grateful that he recently visited his Aunt Josie Cacciatore and cousins in Tucson, AZ. Many holidays were spent with Peter and Heather Provenzano and great nieces, MiaBella, Annelise, Eleri and great nephew AJ in Rockfod IL.
Jerry had many endeavors during his career in Rockford IL and Kansas City MO. His businesses in Rockford included the Ranchero, Highcrest Lanes, Tweed’s (The Place for Ribs) and Thirteens (Top of Talcott). In Kansas City he created and marketed Papa Cipolla’s Sorbet and most recently Cipolla Properties. His efforts as a property owner and landlord led to the transformation of numerous properties, enriching the lives of many families.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, where friends and family will come together to remember and honor him.
While life took us in different directions, I have great memories of our youth in Rockford. Rest in Peace old friend!

So many fond memories of Jerry, I looked up to him as he was older and I thought he was so cool. I think my Mom was his godmother. Rest in Peace Jerry. My condolences to Theresa and family
