Jerry D. Baker 58 of Buckner, MO. a broken up old Cowboy. A sharing of memories service will be 2:00 pm Monday July 9, 2012 at the Meyers Funeral Chapel Blue Springs, MO. Memorial Contribution may be made for the Jerry Baker Memorial Ride to be held August 25, 2012 at Blue and Gray Park. We’re leaving at 10:00 if you are riding with me.
Jerry was born August 24, 1953 in Plad, MO the son of Ralph C. Baker and Marion C. (Rhodelander) Cooley. He was a mechanic and operator for Local union 101 Operating Engineers. He enjoyed horseback riding at the Blue and Gray Park and all over the country. He Rodeo’ed for many years leaving him what he said was a broken up old cowboy. He enjoyed many hours on the trail with his family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his mother Marion C. Cooley and sister Marion Reno.
Survivors include his wife Pamela Baker of the home. Son Christopher Lee Baker and wife Christine of Moscow, PA. Daughters: Dawn Marie Baker of Moscow, PA and Nicole Higgins and husband Heath of Parkville, MO. Father Ralph Baker and wife Shirley of McEwen, TN. Brothers Rick Baker of Harrisonville, MO. and Cody Cooley of Lane, KS. Sisters Shelly Carver of Freeman, MO and Kelly Harrelson of Clinton, MO. Also five grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
