Jeanetta Cowan Piotrowski
DOB: January 2, 1929
DOD: October 19, 2023
Jeanetta was born in Kirkcaldy, Scotland and lived a lovely life with her parents, younger sister, and cousins. At age 24 she came to the United States on the Queen Mary to marry her Polish-born husband, George, who served 30 years in the US Air Force. Jeanetta, therefore, moved frequently and worked numerous clerical jobs until they moved to and eventually retired in Bellevue, Nebraska. There, she began a long career with Duncan Hines and later worked at a travel agency, allowing her to continue her love of travel.
Jeanetta was preceded in death by her parents and sister, her husband, and their son John. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Philip Wassmer and her grandchildren Antone, Nicholas, and Carolyn. And what everyone wants to know – how did she die? She went out in style because there was nothing wrong with her. She had a bowl of ice cream and fell asleep. Perfect.
