James “Jim” Clyde Radford, 85, a resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday, August 22, 2023. He was born March 20, 1938 to Lonnie and Maggie Radford in Townley, AL.
Jim retired after 35 years at General Motors. He loved Fried Chicken!, cars, fishing, bird watching, traveling with his son Garth and daughter-in-law, Karen. Jim was a Detroit Lions and Tigers fan, and most recently the Kansas City Chiefs. Jim was especially fond of the KC Wolf and his antics!
He spent his last few years in the home of friends, Kurtis and Lori Hart where he cheered on the Chiefs and made many friends.
Survived by his children, Garth Radford and wife Karen, Rhonda, Darren Radford; brother, John Radford; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jim is preceded in death by his son, James Radford Jr.; parents, Lonnie and Maggie Radford; brother, Charles Radford; sister, Vera Turner.
Jim asked for no services and that he be laid to rest near his parents in Michigan. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meyers Funeral Chapel in Blue Springs. Memories of Jim and words of comfort for his family may be shared at meyersfuneralchapel.com
