Jack attended De La Salle School before graduating from Lillis High School in 1961. He was united in marriage to Suzanne Elizabeth Hatcher on April 11, 1964 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kansas City, MO. Jack was a retired member of Sheet Metal Worker’s Local Union #2 in Kansas City, MO and was a 1st degree in Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, fishing, and hunting. Jack loved being surrounded by children and especially cherished the time he spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Jack is survived by his wife, Suzanne Sublette of Blue Springs, MO; children: Craig Sublette of Sacramento, CA, Kim Early (Gene) of Odessa, MO, Kristen Geary (Roger) of Odessa, MO, Karyn Lammert (Melvin) of Odessa, MO, Kelley Burrus (Matthew) of Odessa, MO; brothers, Tom Sublette (Zita) of Encinitas, CA, Denver Sublette (Shirley) of Kansas City, MO, Dan Sublette (Jan) of Clinton, MO, Tim Sublette (Jean) of Smithville, MO; 7 grandchildren, Annice Davis (Cody), Katelyn Geary, Wyatt Geary, Brooke Geary, Jillian Taylor, Dylan Lammert, Leyton Burrus, Declan Burrus; 3 great-grandchildren, Jackson Davis, Truman Davis, Harrison Davis. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, William and Cora Sublette; son, Brian Keith Sublette.
The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m., Monday, November 27, 2017 with Rosary being prayed at 7:00 p.m., at St. Robert Bellarmine Parish, 4313 MO-7, Blue Springs, MO. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the parish, with Father John Bolderson officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunset Hill Cemetery in Warrensburg, MO. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Children’s Mercy Hospital. Meyers Funeral Chapel in Blue Springs has been entrusted with final arrangements.
