Helena Bowling, 88, a Northland resident of Kansas City, MO passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015. She was born on December 21, 1926 in East Bolton, KS to Roy E. and Virginia M. (McAdams) Hamm. Helena spent many years in Arkansas City and 40 years in Las Vegas, NV, before making Kansas City her home.
Survivors include four step-children, John Bowling, Jr., Bonnie Limon, Xzachary Bowling and Jennifer Cook; and her daughter-in-law, Jacquelyn Frost; a nephew, Larry Hamm; a niece, Wanda Erb; 17 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, the most recent being Roach Bowling; her parents; a son, Jimmy; step-son, John; daughters, Hila and Diane; and a brother, Dale Bowling.
Helena was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted with the Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville. Family and friends will gather together after the first of the year to celebrate Helena’s life. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society and may be left in care of the funeral home.
I love you forever and always grandma. Thank you for being an amazing person and for always being there, no matter what. I will always cherish our memories so beyond thankful you had a chance to meet my children.
