Harold Harrison Howie, 84, a resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away peacefully Monday, April 17, 2023 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO. He was born September 6, 1938 to Howard and Anna (Moore) Howie in Kansas City, MO.
Harold graduated from Northeast High School in 1956. He was united in marriage to Patricia Beeson on June 21, 1969 in Memphis, TN. Harold spent 36 years working for Trans World Airlines (TWA). He was Christian by faith. Harold enjoyed watching the Kansas City Royals, hummingbirds and his dogs. Above all Harold cherished his family especially his grandchildren.
Survived by his wife, Patricia Howie of Blue Springs, MO; children, Cathy Gaar and husband Jim of Lone Jack, MO, Teri Pharris of Roeland Park, KS, Harold Howie and wife Angela of Blue Springs, MO, Michelle Smith and husband Keith of Blue Springs, MO; grandchildren, Ashlee Baker and husband Tony, Erin Schmidt and husband David, Katie Jaschke, Rachel Johnson, Larissa Cepeda, Hannah Howie, Amelia Howie, Trinity Grimes, Nathan Smith; great-grandchildren, Gabe Baker, Austin Schmidt, Ty Schmidt, Lennon Johnson, Maclin Johnson, Sawyer Jaschke. Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Anna Howie, sister, Beverly Ann How.
His family will receive friends and family from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St, Blue Springs, MO. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Moriah Cemetery, in Kansas City, MO. Patty, I don’t recall us ever having lunch together where Harold’s name didn’t come up. What a wonderful guy who was always at the forefront of your life. He’ll be missed enormously.
