Gregory Charles Huber, 90, a parishioner of St. Therese Catholic Church and Northland resident of Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully Sunday, July 31, 2022, with his loving family by his side. Greg was born August 11, 1931 to Louis and Frances (Leifgen) Huber in Wien, MO.Greg was a veteran of the United States Army. He was stationed in England during the Korean war and was Honorably Discharged in 1954 as a Corporal.
When he returned to the United States, Greg returned to his hometown and worked enthusiastically as a farmer. In 1964, his path lead him from the country to the big city where he worked for Farmland Industries as a Line Supervisor of the battery division in Kansas City, MO; he retired after 26 years of dedicated service. From 1976 – 2019 he was a Landlord Proprietor in the Parkville, MO area and he continued to farm in New Cambria.
Greg was a devote catholic with a strong belief and love for his Lord and Savior. He found comfort and peace in his heart attending daily Mass at St. Therese.
He will forever be remembered as a kind, quiet and loving Uncle. He enjoyed watching football, baseball, golf and the stock market. Greg was an avid walker and enjoyed meeting new friends on a daily basis. He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Greg is survived by 13 loving nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law Dolores Huber; numerous great-nieces and nephews and friends. Greg was preceded in death by both parents; four siblings: William Huber, Helene King, Gilbert Huber, and Edwin Huber; a niece and a nephew.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m., – 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 13, 2022 at St. Therese Catholic Church 7207 NW Highway 9 Kansas City, MO. Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 11:00 a.m. at the church. The Rosary will be prayed prior to the Mass. A Committal Service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Sunday August 14, 2022 at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Wien, MO. In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry at St. Therese. Memories of Greg and condolences to the family may be shared at meyersfuneralchapel.com.
I will miss seeing him at Mass every morning! May he rest in peace!
