Joan was a special lady. She was a beautiful woman inside and out. I knew her as a wonderful member of Northmoor United Methodist Church. I have wonderful memories of her and her family. May your faith keep you strong at this sad time.
Much love, Susan Dowden
What a blessing to know Joan. Though we had times in trying to understand one another, the message was eventually conveyed. Joan was full of wisdom, knowledge, love and compassion. The nursing home will be at a loss without you Joan. Our Sunday morning services seem empty without you being present. This past Sunday we shared the blessing and sorrow of your home going. Deidre, this is Valencia and Rodney that came on Sunday mornings and have a sister name Dedra. We know that Joan greatly awaited your visits with the ice cream sundaes. She loved her family so much. We can hardly wait to see you again (Joan) in heaven. For now, so long our dear sister until we meet again.
To the family of Sister Joan Cox. Your Mother Grandmother, Loved one will be sorely miss by the church at riverside nursing home. Miss cox was surly a born again Christian. Why God chose to let her spend the last 15 years of her life in a nursing home, is very clear to me. She was called to be a missionary there. I dont know how many soul came to Christ through Joan’s witness befor 5 years ago, but there were at least 3 since my wife and I started coming. 2 of them proceded her in death. Mother Cox was a steadfast example to us all, that no matter what our circumstances are we can still be a witness for the Lord. Jordan Grand ma is okay now. God has givin her a brand new body, eith no more aches and no more pains. She has a glorified body that will never grow old or wear out. no desease will ever be able to inffect her again. She Loved you very much and will meet you at heavens gate many many years from now. Let Gods peace keep your hearts and minds till we see Miss Joan again.
