I will always remember Gerri for her very caring ,and giving nature. Always a smile on her face ,with a very humble ,and sweet countenance. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and nurse. She always put her family first. She will be missed by all of those whose life’s she touched. She is at peace now in the arms of our Savior.
To the family of Geri Nichols! I recently learned of the loss of your mother, grandmother, great grandmother. I had the privilege of working with Geri at St. Mary’s Hospital in Blue Springs from 1981-1993. I was the Vice-President of Nursing Services at the time. Geri was a sensitive, compassionate recovery room nurse that loved her profession and did what she could to help patients in the immediate recovery period after surgery. She was a true advocate for keeping family members informed until they could see their loved ones. Geri and I shared the same birthday date – not year, however. I will be sending a donation to St. John LaLande Parish in Geri’s name. May she rest in peace….I’m sure you have many memories that will reduce your sadness and loss at this time. God bless !
There wasn’ta person I had more respect for at St Mary’s than Geri. She never had an unkind word about anyone. Her surgical knowledge was unsurpassed and she was sideways willing to share with those that were new to the operating room. I just learned of her death and regret not being able to pay my respects. She was an amazing lady.
