Gerald Arbogast, a resident of Parkville, MO and proud US Army Veteran, passed away at his home on Thursday, December 17, 2020. At the time of his passing, Mr. Arbogast was 73 years old and under hospice care.
Gerald W. Arbogast was born on March 3, 1947 in Kansas City, KS to Winford and Thelma (Gatlin) Arbogast. He graduated from Wyandotte County High School, where he was part of the state championship basketball team. He earned an associates degree from Kansas City Kansas Community College and was a veteran of the United States Army, where he served during the Vietnam era. Gerald spent the majority of his working career for WestVaco, a corrugated box manufacturer in Kansas City, KS. He was a Christian by Faith, loved his family and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.
Gerald married Jamie Kay Pool on March 9, 1985 in Kansas City, KS. In addition to Jamie, survivors include their son, Kristopher Matthew Arbogast and wife, Samantha of Maryville, CA; a brother, Robert Arbogast; and beloved granddaughter, Cora May America Arbogast. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A committal service with military honors will be held June 16, 2021 at Leavenworth National Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville. Memories of Gerald and condolences may be shared at Meyersfuneralchapel.com.
