Eric A. Garrison (1953-2022)
Eric A. Garrison passed away at home on Sunday, August 7, 2022 with his family by his side.
Eric will be remembered for the stories he told on repeat. There was no stopping him from showing up at the grand kids schools to tell these stories. He wanted to make sure to pass them down for future generations to enjoy even if, at times, they were highly inappropriate. His love, and patience for his children, grandchildren and ALL the world’s children were unparalleled. He enjoyed a good conversation with a nice gin or iced tea. He was the coolest person to hang out with and the type of man that would drop everything at the drop of a hat to chauffer his grown children and their friends around town for an evening of bar hopping to ensure everyone made it home safely or carpooling his grandchildren to their MANY activities. He never said no. He enjoyed being outdoors, spending time at the lake, fishing, and cooking (heavy on the spices). The memories Eric created with his family and friends on Earth will last an eternity.
Eric was preceded in death by his parents, Calvran and Marjorie Garrison. He is survived by his spouse of 44 years, Carol “Tess” Garrison; three children: Gena Agron (Todd); Shea Wilper (Jeff); John Garrison; his five grandchildren: Ashlyn, Grace, Johnny, Bo, and Xander; his sister Kyle Carson (Chris), and brother Kevin Garrison.
There will be a visitation on Monday, August 15, 2022, from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville, MO. A Memorial service celebrating Eric’s life will immediately follow at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests you buy yourself a nice cigar and have a drink in his honor. Memories of Eric and condolences to the family may be shared at meyersfuneralchapel.com.
Eric , I’m so sorry your gone , we didn’t get together very often but we talked . I will
Miss you Eric…
Roy was a hit at all the Collins family reunions and his break dancing will be remembered by all of us! He was Steve’s idol growing up and he’ll be missed by all of the Collins clan.
So sorry about “Roy’s” passing but we know he’s not suffering anymore and are thankful for that. Although we don’t have reunions now he will always be remembered for his dancing and having a great time with everyone. A super nice guy who will be missed by so many.
I am so sorry for the Families loss of Eric. May the Lord Bless and Comfort all of you during this difficult time. May the Lord keep all of you in his Loving Embrace.
“Big E” may a lasting impression on me the first time I met him. He had me laughing to tears when I was around him. He was such a lovely soul, with a heart as big as he was. He made the world a better place. Tess, Gena, Shea, John and family, I know you will miss him terribly, I hope the wonderful memories will give you comfort. You are in my prayers.
Eric, I got to know you well because I always sat behind you through school (the old days when we sat by alphabetical order). I’ll miss you my buddy (oh, and thanks for passing on my classmates secret notes on paper!)

Growing up with Eric at the lake my brother and I could always count on his easy going manner his sense of humor and his kindness. He could tell a good story, funny or not, and end it by throwing his head back and laughing. We had talked about getting back together, alas not to be. I miss him.
We will miss the sound of your truck entering your driveway. Your Sunday grocery runs….and seeing you with your wife, children, grandchildren, and dogs!
Scott and Norma
I’ll never forget the Snake Saturdays that you took care of us! And the time you randomly showing up at my door step saying “Tess told me to bring you blankets for the shelter dogs and she also sent some bread for you”. There was always something you were helping with and that’s what we all loved so much about you. Keep the doggos company for me up there.
