Elmer “Skip” L. Keller, Jr., also known as Junior, was born on November 15, 1943, in Tamara, Illinois. He passed away at the VA Hospital on October 4, 2023. Skip is survived by his wife of 32 years, Beverly, his daughter Tammy (Mitch) Swartz, stepdaughters Tammy (Joel) Hughes, Julie (David) Gramlich, and Karrie Lumbard, three grandsons, one granddaughter, and one great-granddaughter, Hadley Marie.
Skip served in the Marine Corps from 1960 to 1965 and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked as a helicopter mechanic during his service. Skip retired from Lake City Ammunition Plant in 2000 after having worked there for 35 years. He was always a generous man and will be missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of life is planned for Monday, November 13, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Disabled American Veterans located at 14605 E US Hwy 40, Kansas City, MO 64136.
