Edward Mitchell “Mitch” Flowers, 70, a Northland resident of Kansas City, MO passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023 at home, under the care of Kansas City Hospice, with his loving family by his side. Mitch was born May 1, 1952 to Charles W. and Mary Kate (Meador) Flowers in Memphis, TN.
Mitch was united in marriage with Brenda Reagan on September 8, 1973 in Memphis, TN. From this union they have three sons: Jeremy, Joshua and Jason.
Mitch and Brenda made their forever home in the Northland area with their sons. He retired after 25+ years of dedicated service as a Winder man from the Kansas City Gypsum Co. located in North Kansas City, MO.
Mitch enjoyed spending time outside – in or near the water: fishing, camping, or waterskiing with his family. He always felt his greatest achievement was being a proud father to his three sons and grandchildren.
Mitch is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Brenda Flowers; three sons: Jeremy Flowers (Daniale); Josh Flowers (Athana) and Jason Flowers; four grandchildren: Alexandra Flowers; Spencer Flowers; Mateo Tanis (Stephanie); Nicolas Flowers; three great grandchildren: Aiden Tanis; Maia Tanis and Amara Tanis; two brothers: Charles “Chuck” Flowers; Calvin Flowers and wife Jaimie; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents; a brother and sister-in-law, Fred “Buddy” and Gayle Flowers and sister-in-law Jane Flowers (wife of Charles).
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Meyers Northland Chapel 401 Main St. Parkville, MO. A Memorial service celebrating Mitch’s life will commence at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Ralph Testerman officiating. Kristi and I send our sincerest condolences. Mitch was an amazing uncle who always made us laugh. I remember at Mom and Pop’s house his black and white striped bedroom! He will be missed!
