Ed was born in Kansas City, Kansas on March 27, 1974, to Bernie and Frances Fritz. He married his wife, Mary on July 6, 1997, and they would’ve celebrated their 25th anniversary this July. He was known as a hard worker and most recently worked as the Warehouse Manager for Best Batteries in North Kansas City. Ed was in his garage often and enjoyed taking on a project. He was passionate about small engine repair, restoring old vehicles and loved to teach others about his passions. He appreciated spending time fishing with family and friends. His curiosity of how things work kept him continually learning.
Edward is survived by many loved ones and was preceded in death by his father Bernie, brother Burton, and nephew Christopher.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Revolution Church at 4609 NW Gateway Avenue, Riverside, MO 64150. Memories of Edward and condolences to the family may be shared at meyersfuneralchapel.com.
The Broken Chain
We little knew that day,
God was going to call your name.
In life, we loved you dearly,
In death, we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you.
You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide.
And although we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.

No one is never really gone as long as they are in your heart and in your thoughts. Edward will forever be in our thoughts, and in our hearts. we know that he is with his heavenly father and his earthly farther, brother, and nephew. So, Edward don’t give up on us we will be there when our chores are done here on this earth to be with you. So, until we meet again on that bright and sunny shore called Heaven.
You were one of the strongest men I know Uncle Ed. Love you so much. You always have me amazing advice about everything. I know your watching over us with grandpa, uncle Bert, and Chris. I’ll always love and miss you.
I will miss our conversation’s Ed would give advice when I needed it. I’ll miss his laugh but I’ll miss Ed. You will be missed until we meet again
