Doris J. Oldham, 87, a resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away peacefully Friday, May 6, 2022 at the McCrite Plaza at Briarcliff in Kansas City, MO. She was born March 20, 1935 to Jones and Alice (Beck) Francy in Iantha, MO.
Doris graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in 1953. She was united in marriage to Charles R. Oldham on October 6, 1955 in Kansas City, MO. Doris was a homemaker and loved raising her 3 children. She was Catholic by faith. Doris enjoyed going to Vesper Hall to water color, she also enjoyed making ceramics, gardening, yard work and talking politics.
Survived by her children, Brian J. Oldham and wife Debbie of Kansas City, MO Janice R. Offill and husband Kent of Smithville, MO; brothers, Freddie Francy of Pleasant Hill, MO, Clifford Francy of Centerview, MO; grandchildren, James, Anna, Katie, Kyle, Jacqueline, Kris, Sean; great-grandchildren, Alice, Oliver, Lyndsi, Macense, Devin, April, Tristan, Salene, Jadyn, Layla, Jeriah, Bennett, Zachariah, Ethan, Kade, Parker. Doris is preceded in death by her husband Charles Oldham; son, Michael Oldham who was killed in the 1988 Kansas City explosion.
Family will receive friends and family from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St, Blue Springs, MO. Funeral service will begin at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at the chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Kanas City, MO.
