Sorry to hear this. Prayers for all of the families and friends. Donnie was the type of guy you always wanted to be around. Donnie was especially loved by the Akins family. He will be missed.
Donnie had been in our family for so long it’s hard to remember when he wasn’t. He was a cousin by marriage but I felt as close to him as a blood cousin. I use to call the house and he would answer and talk to me for an hour before handing the phone to Sue or telling me she wasn’t there. He was a really good guy. 😀
To the Gibb-Gfeller families, our hearts are breaking Donnie was the sweetest man, and he and Suzie made this world a better place. Donnie loved his community and show it when he helped to restore the 1926 Train Depot in Blue Springs. He also worked on the Hotel and the Dillingham-Lewis house over the years. He worked with Scouts and 4-H kids over the years. He was a great friend, and we shall miss him always.
My deepest condolences to the family of “Uncle Don”. At one time, he was my brother-in-law. Lots of fond memories there.
