Diane M. Shoop, 43, a Northland resident in Kansas City, MO passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012 in Kansas City. She was born June 26, 1968 in Leavenworth, KS to Linus Francis and Linda Jo (Witter) Conrad. She graduated from Platte County High School and Colorado Technical University.
Diane was currently employed by First Student, a bus transportation company employed by the Park Hill School District. She was of the Lutheran faith. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her parents and two children, Aaron M. Shaffer and Jessica L. Shaffer, both of Kansas City; two brothers, David M. Conrad of North Kansas City, MO and Danny M. Conrad and wife, Christy of Parkville, MO; and one grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael S. Conrad.
A memorial service celebrating Diane’s life will be held 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville. The family will receive friends from 3-4:00 p.m. prior to the service. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Midwest Transplant Network and may be left in care of the funeral home. Diane and I were the best of friends during high school and our early 20’s. She was always upbeat and happy about life. We had some great times! Will miss her much! Love ya girlfriend!

Diane always made me feel comfortable. From being the new gal working at bar to welcoming me into her home. Always took the time to give me that beautful smile she had and a kiss. You couldn’t help but to give that smile back. It was contagious. I will miss you my friend. <3
