Delmar Hadley, 89, a resident of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Centerpoint Hospital in Independence, Missouri. He was born March 8, 1933 to Thomas Glen and Bertha Ruth (Berger) Hadley in Macksville, Kansas.
Delmar was united in marriage to Norma Jean (Williams) Hadley, in Vernon County, Missouri in January of 1957. Delmar was employed as a Merchandise Packaging Designer for many companies, including, PCA corporation, Vanguard corporation and Bennet Corporation. Delmar was of the Methodist Faith. In his early years he helped build the Ravenwood Wesleyan United Methodist Church. He loved gardening and kept a meticulous yard. He loved traveling with his wife Norma. He really enjoyed woodworking and fishing. In general, he just enjoyed keeping busy with odd jobs, here and there.
Delmar is survived by his children; Doris McCafferty and husband John of Blue Springs, Missouri; Robert Hadley and his wife Connie from Mission, Texas; Brother, Melvin Hadley of Oregon. Six Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren and one Great Great Grandchild also survive him in death.
A Graveside Service will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri, at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, December 30, 2022. In Lieu of Flowers, the family has asked for memorial contributions to go to the American Cancer Society, In memory of Delmar. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Meyers Funeral Home in Blue Springs where Justin Oldham will be assisting the family. Delmar was a great uncle and so kind and caring for his wife and family . My parents Don and Bonnie had many fun times going up to Kansas City area and visiting with them.
He will be missed but is now reunited with Norma in heaven.
