Debby graduated from North Kansas City High School and William Woods College. She spent her early years of her working career as a buyer for Macy’s. She then took a break to raise her only son whom she cherished and later worked as a children’s clothing manufacturing rep for John Sparks and then John Cazzato and Associates.
Family was most important to Debby as was with Jim. She was united in marriage with James E. Terrell. Jim preceded her in death on July 16, 2020. She enjoyed their many trips to Colorado and Kauai. Jim and Deb’s house was always open to their son Chris’s friends. Cooking for 5 or 6 extra kids and waking up to a houseful of kids was not out of the norm and what she enjoyed. She often referred to Chris’s friends as her kids. She always had the most positive outlook on everything in life. She was a devoted wife and mother, but being a granny is what she did best. She truly cherished her time spent with her son and granddaughters.
Survivors include her only son, Chris Terrell (Amy) of Parkville, MO; and her beloved granddaughters, Lauren and Lexi.
Family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate Debby’s life on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at the Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with a Sharing of Memories time starting at 11:00 a.m. A committal service and urn placement will follow at Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association and may be left in care of the funeral home. Memories of Debby and condolences may be shared at meyersfuneralchapel.com.

In our minds are with you Chris and your family.
It’s Saturday morning here in Georgia coming up on 12 noon which would be 11:00 AM your time.
So many wonderful memories of Deb crossing many decades how many miles, all our trips to Kansas City and the trips that Helen and Joe would make to California, going to Disneyland when it first opened here in California Deb and Karen we’re so excited.
My cousin Deb was a beautiful sophisticated lady who on one of my visits to Kansas City I think it was right after I finished helicopter school in Alabama she took me downtown to a honky tonk to listen to B.B. King play what a great day that was, so many wonderful memories of trips to Helens seeing Deb.
And she went off to marry this guy who I’d never met I’m sure I told her she needed to get my OK but she went ahead and married him anyway, a wonderful man, Jim who ended up being one of my best friends a fellow veteran hell of a good man.
What a wonderful slide show was put together there definitely brought many memories and many tears to my eyes, miss Debbie you bet I will, I do and always will
Natalie and I send our love and our prayers do you Chris and your family.
God bless you all.
Drew and Natalie
