Floyd “David” McFarland, 92, Parkville, MO passed on November 17, 2022. Born in Malta Bend, MO to parents Oscar and Lee Ora (McCloud) McFarland.David served in the US Marines during the Korean War. He was an avid truck farmer and sold plants and produce at the City Market for over 65 years. He also drove a school bus for the Park Hill School District. David was a member of Gashland Baptist Church.
David is survived by his wife Linda of 65 years; his sons Mike (Joyce) McFarland and Ken (Leslie) McFarland and daughters Joyce (Pat) Strubert and Rebecca McFarland; Grandchildren, Michelle (Lee) Mitchell, Bobbi (Jeff) Ray, LeeAnn (Austen) Gooch, Ryan Magers, Adam (Brittney) Magers, Sarah (Quinton) Purviance, Hannah (Matt) Waight, Aaron Guthland, And Henry (Kris) McDaniel; Great grandchildren, Rika, Jillian, Hunter, Gabe, Logan, Harrison, Jakob, Ward, Eloise, Grey, Theo, and Willow; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Lee Ora McFarland, sister, Sylvia McFarland Hughes; brother, Lloyd William McFarland.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at the Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville. Pastor George McDowell officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Graveside services and burial will follow at the East Slope Cemetery, Riverside, MO., where Military Honors will be presented under the auspices of the Missouri Funeral Honors Program. So sorry for your lost I knew Dave from the city market very nice man.
You will always been out memories.
Our prayers are with Linda and family. Dave was our bus driver in school. I got the pleasure of working with him on greenhouse matetial. Dave was a very hard worker for many years. Many years with great produce at tbe market. RIP Dave.
