David D. Handy, 62, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away surrounded by his loving family on December 24, 2014. He was born to Albert and Mabel (Kipp) Handy on October 19, 1952 in Independence, MO.
David was an active member of the Grain Valley RLDS church as was ordained as a Deacon of RLDS on December 7, 1975. His generosity and compassion for others was one of his most admirable traits. David would help anyone in need without a second thought and never once asked for anything in return. After his family, David’s second love was his beloved garden. David was the owner and operator of David Handy construction. He was an Eagle Scout and brave in the Tribe of Mic O Say.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Handy family. I will always remember David as someone who helped others and his love of the Lord and his family. We loved to hear him lead in prayer and he had a most astounding deep voice. I will also think of his quick wit and humor. He will be truly missed.
