David A. Blair, Sr., 58, of Blue Springs, MO. passed away July 6, 2012 in Kansas City, MO. A Celebration of Dave’s life will be at 10:30 am Wednesday July 11, 2012 at the Meyers Funeral Chapel 1600 W. Main St. Blue Springs, MO. with the Pastor Ted Schubkegel celebrating. David or Dave as friends called him gave his heart and soul to his family and friends. He will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted husband (soul mate), father, and grandpa, his granddaughters were the love of his life. David was the owner of Midwest Microsurgical in partnership with his wife and son Dane, as well as a silent partner with his son David and his real-estate team “Team Edge”. He loved to travel especially to the Dominican Republic; and shared his love of golf, lake activities, and Chiefs games with his family and close friends.
David was born in Brownsburg, Indiana on 12-23-1953; he attended Avon High School and graduated with honors as a member of the National Honor Society, President of Student Council and Salutatorian of his class in 1972. He married the love of his life Debra Joanne Hren on June 20, 1973, they moved to Chicago, IL where he graduated from DeVry University Chicago in 1974. Upon graduation he worked for a German Optic company Carl Zeiss who transferred him to Missouri in 1978 where he and Deb started their family. Everyone that knew our father knows how much he loved our mom and how much he will be forever missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of the home Debra Blair. Sons David A Blair and partner Kris Walker of Independence, MO, Dane E. Blair and wife Aimee of Lee’s Summit, MO. Brother Edward Blair and wife Vi of Washington. Sisters Helen Scotten and husband John of Brownsburg, IN, Pam Armstrong of Lady Lake, FL, and Mary Jo Vickery and husband Mark of Avon IN. Grandchildren Genevieve and Temprance Blair of Lee’s Summit, MO.
