Such a fine man, always had a great deal of respect for Uncle Danny.. RIP…
Dan was such a warm, caring, and sweet man. I have many memories of this dear man as we were fellow parishioners at St. Robert Bellarmine for many years. He was most recently a guest at the ReHab facility where I work. We had the opportunity to visit and reminisce last week. We had such a good conversation, recalling many fond memories but before we did any of that, he showed be his picture album and told me stories of each of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. There was no doubt how much he loved his wife, Pat, and their beautiful family.
Many years ago, Dan carved a processional cross for us for the Chapel at St. Mary’s Medical Center. His detailed carving of the Risen Christ was beautiful. He mentioned it to me last week and I know he was so proud of the work he had done.
I will always remember Dan with fondness. His smile was contagious. May God rest his Soul and may God continue to watch over and protect his precious family!
Pat and family
We are so sorry about Dan’s death. And so sorry we did not do a better job of keeping in touch. His bond with John was more than just one from working at Bayer. They were especially connected when Dan joined the Catholic Church with John as his sponsor. A good man, with great stories and a warm smile We will always treasure his woodworking gifts to John.
My sincere condolences for Pat and family. I will always remember Dan as being a kind and gentle man. A man of conviction to his family and his faith. May he rest in peace.
My condolences to Pat and family. Dan always had kind words to say and a smile when we would see him at St. Robert Bellarmine. May he rest in peace.
To Pat and family. What a wonderful man Dan was. He could find something to say and always had a question for you. We always had a joke between us about him calling me Sister Cindy. He also had to explain why he named his truck “Pea Cup”. He loved his faith and lived his faith and shared his gifts we were all blessed to know him and may he Rest In Peace. Life everlasting Dano!

I am so sorry to hear of his passing, he was such a nice guy. He visited my dad Harold Young often, and they enjoyed talking about old times. My prayers, go out to his family and friends.
Dan was a fine gentleman. Our thoughts and prayers are with Pat, Debbie and Bob, and his entire family.
What a wonderful and pleasant man. He and Pat always took the time to greet us and make us feel welcome. He left us with beautiful memories. Surely he is with loved ones in heaven. Including His buddy Don Williams
A great guy with a contagious smile! He entertained at Vesper Hall multiple times as well as being a part of the woodcarving class. I had the honor of getting to know him through these connections. Rest well Dan! Marty
Pat and Family;
I just learned of Danny’s passing today. I was concerned when my Christmas card was returned as undeliverable. I tried calling Danny at home and on his cell phone but it would never go through. I finally decided to do some online searching for a new address etc and came across his obituary. I can’t tell you how much Danny meant to me and my family. He was a fellow classmate from Wm Chrisman of both of my parents; Gene and Arlene Miller (both deceased). Danny was a dear friend to my mother and our family after my dad died in 1995. I have multiple carvings from Danny – a nativity scene, several crosses and he carved my dad’s face onto a golf ball. They are all treasured items that are proudly displayed in my home. Before Covid, I visited Danny and Pat at their home and he gave me quite the tour of his workshop. He beamed showing me his collections. I am so terribly sorry I didn’t know about his passing until now. I know you all miss him terribly. Such a good, good man.
Sincerely,
Marlo Knapp
