Curtis R. Grumke, 52, Blue Springs, MO passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at his home. He was born December 6, 1960 in Independence, MO to Floyd and Naomi (Gillespie) Grumke.
Curtis graduated from Wellington-Napoleon High School, received a BS in Agricultural Economics from The University of Missouri at Columbia and a MA in Accounting from the University of Central Missouri. Curtis was also a Master Electrician. He was formerly employed by Boatman’s Bank as a trust officer, supervisor for Paragon Electric Company and most recently was employed by SERCO as a task manager for the Department of Homeland security.
Curtis had a great love for God and family. He was known for a strong work ethic and his devotion to helping others. He was a member of Blue Springs Assembly and served on the prayer team.
He married Pamela S. Workman on May 16, 1987 in Kansas City, MO. She survives of the home along with their four children, Adam, Andrew, Ethan and Sarah. Additional survivors include two brothers, Ross and Lowell.
A memorial service celebrating Curtis’ life will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Blue Springs Assembly with Pastor John Martz officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. Sunday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the family to offset expenses.
