Cheri Kay Drake, 61, a resident of Grain Valley, MO passed away peacefully Friday, April 22, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 22, 1960 to Robert I. Lewis and Nancy Armentrout in Independence, MO.
Cheri worked in the medical field for over 25 years. She worked at Cass Regional Medical Center for 9 years. Cheri always had a love and devotion for taking care of her family and a loving passion for animals. She volunteered with Pawsitive Tails Rescue. Her specialty was taking care of critically ill babies. Cheri was a member of St. John LaLande Parish, Blue Springs, MO.
Cheri is survived by son, Seth (Jenny) Ham; daughters, Shellie (Johnny) Riling, Sammie (Matthew) Bishop and Skylar (Michael) Leighty; grandchildren, Caleb, Cadyn, Colton, Tre, Tayven, Tatum, Lily, Brayden and Cooper; great-grandchildren, Beckett and Ramona; mother, Nancy Armentrout siblings, Wade (Novette) Lewis, Michelle (Bob) Floyd, and Mary (Scott) Chulufas; nieces and nephews, Felicity (Shane) Overturf, Alisa (Late Husband Tim) Myers, Ross Floyd, Whitney (Travis A.K.A. Trigger) Mulch and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and many more. Cheri is proceeded in death by Father Robert I. Lewis, Granddaughter Emma Leighty, brother-in-law, Stoney Gregory and her grandparents.
Memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St., Blue Springs, MO. The family suggest that memorial contributions be made to Pawsitive Tails rescue or Traditions Health Hospice. Cheri was very dear to my heart!! She truly was an amazing women!! I loved her like my own mom!! I love you Sky, Sammie and Shellie!! I’m here if you girls need anything!!!

The memories i hold dear to my heart about Cheri are from being next doir neighbors for many years. The fun times we had with my girls and you 4 children of Cheris. It has been an honor working with Cheri over the years. I will miss her. My prayers go out to her family for comfort and to remember the many fond memories of her forever.
