Charles Franklin “Frank” Madewell, Jr., 52 of Independence, MO succumbed to cancer, surrounded by his family on March 6, 2014, at the Kansas City Hospice House.
Frank was born on March 17, 1961 to Charles and Imogene (Smith) Madewell in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Harrison High School in 1979 and attended college at the University of Arkansas in Fayettville, Arkansas. Frank later attended Arkansas Tech University, graduating in 1986 with his degree in Business Admin. He was retired from Ford Motor Company.
Frank was married to Haley Miller and were married for three years. From this union, their son, Franklin Alexander “Alex” was a gift from god. He was then married to Michelle McCulley for several years and from this union, their son, Joshua Wade Madewell was a gift from god.
Frank above all, loved his family. His sons were his everything. He absolutely loved football, played all through high school and college. Frank loved the sunshine and mowing his yard. He had a smile like no other.
Frank is survived by his mother, Imogene (Smith) Madewell, Haley Miller and their son, Franklin Alexander “Alex” Madewell, daughter in-law, Montana Madewell and a granddaughter, Brooklyn Michelle Madewell, Michelle Booth and their son Joshua Wade Madewell. Frank also leaves behind a lot of loving friends and relatives. Frank was proceeded in death by his father Charles Madewell.
The family wishes to thank the many doctors and nurses that helped him during his journey, with special thanks to the staff at the Kansas City Hospice House.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Frank’s life from 5-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the Meyers Funeral Chapel in Blue Springs.
