Charlene was united in marriage with Tom Cooper on June 10, 1995 in Blue Springs, MO. She was a graduate of Raytown South High School and earned her Radiologist Technician degree from Central Missouri State University.
Charlene was the office manager for Jackson County Orthopedics in Blue Springs, MO for 20 years and was also the office manager for Western Missouri Bone and Joint in Warrensburg, MO for 14 years. In 2009 Charlene became the co-owner of “The Keg” bar on Main St. in Blue Springs, MO. “The Keg” was established in 1949 making it the oldest bar in Blue Springs. It is known for having the shortest and smallest St. Patrick’s Day parade in the world. Charlene enjoyed the Kansas City Chiefs, Royals, watching NASCAR, flowers, her pets, bowling, golfing and her love for giraffes. Her greatest enjoyments came from being around her family and friends. She was a former president of the lady Elkettes-BPOE lodge #2509.
Survivors include husband Tom who survives of the home; daughters, Michelle Kaumans and companion Jose Hidalgo of Blue Springs, MO, Lisa Sanchez and husband Cristian of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Cadence, Abbygail, Christian, Miranda; sisters, Cindy Dernier and companion Jeff Meyer of Raytown, MO, and Jo McMahon and husband Jim of Independence, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Dixie Wolfe; sister, Terri King.
The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m., Friday, February 12, 2016 at Meyers Funeral Chapel 1600 W. Main St. Blue Springs, MO. Memorial Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday at the chapel. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Shriners Hospital.
