Carol Vochatzer, 73, a resident of Blue Springs, MO entered into Heaven peacefully Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born May 26, 1947 in Kansas City, MO to Harry and Eleanor (Adams) Morrison.
Carol was a 1965 graduate of Van Horn High School in Independence, MO. She was united in marriage to Harry Paul Vochatzer on July 8, 1967 in Kansas City, MO, their union of love lasted 5 months shy of 50 years. Carol loved Jesus and was a lifelong member of Timothy Lutheran Church in Blue Springs. She was involved in numerous Bible studies, women’s circles and volunteered her time often. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She attended every family and friends occasion that she could. Carol was a band and sports mom that not only supported her daughters but their friends and her many nephews and nieces as well. She was like a second mom to many. She was the first to offer help and loved sending flowers. She was extremely social, enjoyed traveling, reading, and volunteering her time, especially at her daughters schools. Above all she cherished spending time with her family and friends, especially her 3 granddaughters. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with.
Survived by her daughters, Cindy Vochatzer-Murillo and husband Danny of Dallas, GA, Debbie Kansteiner and husband David of Lee’s Summit, MO; granddaughters, Kenzie and Callie Kansteiner, Ellie Murillo-Vochatzer; sisters, Gloria Sheets of Blue Springs, MO, Joyce Titus (James) of Independence, MO. Carol was preceded in death by her husband Harry P. Vochatzer; parents, Harry and Eleanor Morrison.
The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Timothy Lutheran Church, 425 NW R.D. Mize Rd, Blue Springs, MO. Funeral service will start at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at the church with Pastor John Otte officiating. A private committal service will follow at 12:00 p.m., at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, in Higginsville, MO. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Timothy Lutheran Care Ministry. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meyers Funeral Chapel in Blue Springs.
