Bonnie Sue Hardin died December 2,, 2016 while under hospice care for late stage of Alzheimer’s disease. Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 9th at Platte Woods United Methodist Church. Funeral Service will commence at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Inurnment will be held at a later date in West Virginia.
Bonnie Sue was born in Logan, West Virginia, April 17, 1941, and was the youngest of nine children to Zell and Wayne Osburn.
She graduated from Logan High School and attended Concord State College. After being recruited by the Federal Housing Administration in Washington, D.C, she met and married the love of her life, Harold Edward Hardin, in 1962. They moved to Lake Waukomis in the Kansas City area in 1972. Bonnie Sue was a homemaker, room mother, health room worker, PTA president, Cub Scout leader and served nine years on the Park Hill School Board. She played softball, carried a 180 average in bowling, loved to dance, and spent time with her husband for many years traveling in their motor home. Later she became a paralegal and programmed a stock issue and transfer system. She became proficient in computer aided design digitizing utilities prints. She was known for her honesty, unpretentious and unassuming nature. She had a tender heart and loving soul.
Bonnie Sue is survived by her husband; daughter Karen Brunk and husband Brian; son Wesley; and five grandchildren: Corey Brunk and wife, Lindsay, Kelly Brunk, Lindsay Cardwell and husband Chris, Ellis and Phen Hardin.
