I met Bill through my dad, who were both in the KOC. He always was so nice and generous. Somehow he found out I liked watermelon, and he would make sure I got some when he has his garden at Bean Lake. He helped pick up and deliver food from Hyvee to the food pantry every week for years. I just can’t say enough good about Bill. He will be missed!

Bill, along with Sharon, was always there to help anyone in need, even during his health struggles. His belief and faith in God shined in how he treated people and his love for Sharon and his family. I am so sorry I wish I was in town for the funeral Bill was a great man who will be missed
Uncle Bill I will miss you most when we all get together in July. That is the first place I met you, we had such an amazing time trying to get each other with the water balloons, water guns, hoses. It was so great to meet you, have fun, have someone give me hell back. Rest in piece and we will see you again!
Bill was always fun to have around the Hillcrest Thrift Shop. I’d always tease him when he’d sweep around the shop helping to tidy up. He was usually the greeter or he helped Sharon at the register. He was a very special man and will be missed by so many. Including me.
So sorry to hear about Bill. I will never forget the kindness you both showed to my family. I know your family will be a comfort. Thinking of you.
My heart sank when I heard Bill passed away. My heart goes out to your whole family.
Bill was a true gem of a man. I first met him when I was in junior high school and he coached our softball team. (The previous coach did a number on my self esteem since I had started playing late. I was always afraid of messing up. )
Bill was always so positive and encouraging as a coach. He always had a smile on his face or made a joke. I learned so much from him and he helped me gain confidence as a softball player and a person and I even made the All-Star team.
I have never forgotten that experience and never will!
I’ve lived away from KC most of my adult life, and when I was back in KC over the years and would see him, he’d always have a smile on his face and kind words to say.
Some people touch your life forever and Bill is one of them.
Rest in heavenly peace Bill.
