Dear Herman Family,
I am so sorry to hear of dear Betty’s sudden passing. I am Sara Stoppels’ youngest daughter. I remember Betty from when I was a child visiting my grandparents, the Webbs, in Blue Springs. Betty was so kind to drive Maxine and Bill Hall to my wedding in Seattle in 2001. Without her help, they could not have come. I also had the privilege of a brief visit with her last summer when my husband and I came to Blue Springs to visit Maxine. Betty was so vibrant and young at heart that it is impossible to believe that she is gone. I know her spirit and love of life will never be forgotten and she will remain alive in all our hearts. My deepest sympathies to all of you.
With Love, Beth Stoppels Girko
Dear Kurt,
I am so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. I am so saddened by her passing. But it does not compare to your loss. There are no words that I could say to ease your pain and your family’s, just know that I thought the world of your mother and will be thinking of you , Kyle, Karla and Steve during your grieving process. May time and leaning on family and friends get you through your time of sorrow.
with love and deepest regret

I’m so saddened about my godd H.S. friend, Betty’s passing. We were good frineds in Jr. high and H. S. until she moved. We satyed in touch a few years, but then only through a mutual frined who also passed . We resumed our friendshhip about 20 years ago , especially when I visited my parents until their passing 12 and 14 years ago. My father was the pastor of the church where Betty and I met and became friends. Betty was so gracious and fun and was so hospitible to me when I visited K.C. I’ve lived in Chicago area over 50 years, Betty often shared emails which she forwarded to me–the last one was March 1st. When I hadn’t heard from her, I left a V.M. message on march 26, then received word from our muctual frined’s sister, Karen the following da;y. I last saw Betty Labor Day weekend. It’s so hard to believe she’s gone. My deepest sympathies to each of you in the famioly. I feel like I know Pat Parsons
I have notice that siltramiiy. I think it’s a good reworking of the Golden Girls formula. Three tight knit women, this time younger, and a feisty old lady. I like the Wendie Malick and Jane Leeves characters the best. Malick plays that not so famous anymore celebrity like she was born to play the type. I think she invented it while on her years on Just Shoot Me’. She’s one of the great comic actresses..
