Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, December 4, 2023 at St. Therese Catholic Church. A private Committal Service will be held at Leavenworth National Cemetery 150 Muncie Road, Leavenworth, KS.
Bernadette “Bernie” Helen Moning, 89, of Parkville, MO passed away peacefully Sunday, November 19, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospice in Kansas City, MO. Bernadette was born February 9, 1934 to William and Elizabeth “Elsie” (Gutzwiller) Walter in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Bernadette is survived by her three children: Russell (Colleen); Judy (Judy); Linda (John); four grandchildren: Jesse, Aaron, Jason and Lauren; and several great-grandchildren; three siblings: Rose Mary “Rosie,” Agnes and James. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard B. Moning, both of her parents William and Elsie, three siblings: Raymond, Irene and Lawrence.
Mrs. Moning was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church and was active in the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorial contributions to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 7207 N.W. Highway 9, Kansas City, MO.
As I look now, and remember…

Even having been through it recently, I don’t know what to say. However, I do know that your family and friends are keeping you in their thoughts – as will I.
Bernie was a winner. In games, In service to others and in life. So glad my path crossed hers
