B. Vincent Sciara, 65, of Blue Springs, MO passed away May 25, 2012. Vince was born in Kansas City and spent most of his life here. He was in the Coast Guard for four years. After trying his hand at several jobs, he went to work at the main post office and became an electronic technician. He retired in January 2007, one of the happiest days of his life! He and Lorraine just celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary on May 16th. He has a son, Vincent Joseph Sciara, who lives in Raytown, MO. Vince loved his wife, his family, the dogs, photography, football, KU basketball, music, cars, Buzz Time Trivia, and a good dark beer, but not necessarily in this order. Lorraine learned early that if she wanted to be around him she’d have to endure all the sports on t.v. He was a tender hearted man full of fun and laughter and a great person with whom to travel. He was also the main cook and grocery shopper in the family. He loved to read and learn new things and his mind was sharp until the end. He endured his cancer with dignity and humor and appreciated all the things that people did for him. He was taken to Hospice House Tuesday afternoon and died Friday morning, May 25th, at 6:24 a.m. while Lorraine had her arms around him. He would want his memory to be a happy one and would encourage you to have laughter in your life. If you’d like to do something in his memory please adopt an animal or make a donation to your favorite animal shelter. Arrangements entrusted to Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W Main, Blue Springs, MO.

I may be a suprise, I was Vince’s third wife, and very happy to see that he finally settled down. So sorry to see that he passed so young. I hope over the years that he realized how lucky he was to have a son.
He’s death showed up in an ancestry search!!
