Avery Jayne Juarez, 12 years old of Kansas City, MO and current 6th grade student at Barry Middle School passed away peacefully on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO. She was born August 14, 2010 in Kansas City to Adam and Lacey Juarez.Avery had a true love for her teachers and classmates. She was an avid reader and enjoyed learning. An active young lady, she participated in volleyball, basketball and cheerleading. A typical girl, she enjoyed dressing up, wearing jewelry and loved to go shopping. She loved to travel and dreamed of one day going to Paris.
Avery had a deep love for both her Lord and her family. Family was most important to her. She leaves behind her parents, Adam and Lacey; her beloved sister, Alivia; her little brother, Eli; and a host of extended family members and close friends. She had a heart of gold, a zest for life and she will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
Funeral services have been set for Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the Rock of KC, 12750 N. Winan Rd., Kansas City, MO 64163. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. A Celebration of Life service will commence at 11:30 a.m., with Pastor Phillip O’Reilly presiding.
During Avery’s fight with cancer, she was able to receive some of the best possible care at the Cleveland Clinic. To honor Avery’s memory and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the family, where they will set up a memorial fund to help other children receive that same great care.
