When her children were young, Anita was active in their extracurricular activities; especially being a Den-Mother for Jeffery and a Girl Scout Troop Leader for Cindy and Marsha. She was a wonderful mother, homemaker and seamstress.
Anita enjoyed participating in different ministries of church activities: Christmas in October and the Ladies Altar Society.
In her free time she enjoyed playing Bridge with her girlfriends; taking Road Trips with her girlfriends and playing more Bridge. She also enjoyed traveling internationally with friends and TWA people. Anita was a member of T.O.P.S. for over 50 years; where she gave and received support from fellow members while gaining many new friends.
Anita will forever be remembered as being very supportive with family and friends without judgement.
Anita was preceded in death by her husband John Eastland, both parents, two brothers: Richard Johnson and Leon Johnson, Jr. She is survived by a son, Jeffery Eastland; two daughters: Cynthia Grossman (Arnold) and Marsha Eastland; two Grandchildren: Jennifer Eastland and Trenton Eastland; two Great-grandchildren: Devin and Parker.

God bless your mom’s sweet soul. May pleasant memories bring you peace. I enjoyed visiting with your mom last year when we had lunch at Aunt Janette’s. I will always have fond memories of the Johnson yearly reunions. Such a special family.

Anita was a student in my water exercise class at Park Hill for a number of years. I will miss her. She was a gracious lady. They don’t make them like her anymore. May her soul Rest In Peace – and May you be consoled by your memories.
