Janice Ann “Angie” Harris, 71, of Platte City, MO passed away peacefully on December 15, 2022, at the NorthCare Hospice House in North Kansas City, MO. She was born September 8, 1951 in Dallas, TX to Troy and Dolly L. (Abbott) Louton.
Angie was a fantastic cook and enjoyed cooking and entertaining for others. She spent the majority of her working career at Pete’s Inn, Satch’s, Berry Dental Clinic and Price Chopper in Platte City, MO. She was very devoted to her career and her family and she will be dearly missed.
She married her husband and best friend of 40 years, Mark L. Harris on November 6, 1982. In addition to Mark survivors include a son, Spencer Preston Harris and wife, Grace of Springfield, MO; her beloved mother, LaNell Louton of Wichita Falls, TX; brother, Buddy Louton of Wichita Falls, TX; two sisters, Debbie Louton of Desoto, KS and Sue Guidash (Butch) of Wichita Falls, TX; and grandson, Clark Harris. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Chuck Louton.
A Funeral Service celebrating Angie’s life will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at the Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. Angie will be laid to rest in Parkville, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to NorthCare Hospice and may be left in care of the funeral home. Memories of Angie and condolences may be shared at Meyersfuneralchapel.com.

I’m so sorry to hear that Angie has passed. Angie was like a big sister to me when I was a young boy. I will say a prayer today for Angie and family. Paul Louton
So sorry to hear this sad news. Angie was an incredibly sweet and kind person to everyone.
Although we have not seen Angie and Mark in a number of years, we remember all the great times we had with them, and the Pete’s Inn group. Those were the best of times.
