I did not know Alex, but my 17 year-old son is graduating Lead High School next year and is studying Aviation Maintenance. Rand did not know Alex, so they were probably in Aviation Maintenance class at different times. Rand also drives and is on I-29 a lot. I wanted to send my condolences because reading what happened and seeing the similarities, I cannot imagine what you are going through. My heart pours out for you and your family. As a mom, my heart breaks for you.

Myka and family,
From one mother to another, I want you to know that I can’t imagine completely what you are going through, but I know that losing your precious son, and waking up each day to another day without him must be agony. I am thinking of you, and praying for you.
Please try to remember that, in your darkest moments, call out to Jehovah God. He is with you always, He knows your thoughts, and feelings, and what you need, and He will hold you in His loving arms.

You don’t know me, but I have four sons that attend PHSD, and this came through my email. As a mother my heart is aching, and this beautiful video brought me to tears. My prayers go out to you and your loved ones. I am truly sorry for your loss!
Alex was the best person ive ever known I miss him so much and ill continue to pray for the family.
I was never super close with Alex, but he had an amazing spirit and I always felt a light whenever he popped into my numerous classes. I think about him often, and I will forever wish that things had gone differently for his life, he had so so much potential. His love is missed at Park Hill everyday.
I met Alex when he was a little boy and his mom was my battle buddy in the Army. This is heartbreaking because little Alex was such a light in Myka’s life. I will always love him and his mom.
