I am so sorry, Alan was a big man with a bigger heart, and will be missed by all of us
Linda, Aunt Alice, Diane and Brenda and all,
We know that no words can help ease the pain and loss you are feeling right now, but we want you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Us cousins all grew up and went on separate paths with those paths crossing only on rare occasions. But we all still have those childhood memories that we shared and will remember and cherish in our hearts.
Alan will always be remembered…..Please give Aunt Alice a special hug from us. We are so sorry we are unable to attend his services. Our deepest sympathy, Gayle and Weg
Our prayers are with you and your family.
Alan was a good friend ,I worked with him at Cassens in Fenton, MO for a number of years. He was a very good supervisor, very straight. I shall miss Him. God Bless the family.

Dear Linda, Mike, Stevie and Tiffany,
I was so sorry to hear of Alan’s health issues and his passing. Although I didn’t know him well, my son, Jayme, did and he thought the world of him. May you all find strength and peace during this very difficult time in knowing that Alan was cherished. You are all in our hearts, thoughts and prayers!
Connie and Jayme
My wife pointed out this obituary to me about the name Rathgeber. If this is a decendent of Ernie Rathgeber, then we are cousins. He was a long time Rexall Pharmacist, along with my grandfather, and many decendents there of. Lots of brothers and sisters from Coleridge, Ne. Ironically I am 56 and we also live in Blue springs. Our prayers.
Kevin
Although I never had the privilege to meet Al or Big Al as the drivers fondly referred to him. My husband Tim talked about how much better Cassens transport could be if all management was like him. He was fair and kind and decent. He made the drivers feel comfortable and Tim said you wanted to work hard for him. When he retired Tim would still talk about Big Al . I actually asked to meet him we talked about a trip to Kansas city so that I could meet him. To Als family Tim and I are both so very sorry for your loss , there will be such a hole in all of your lives. I hope that knowing how much he was admired and how many lives he touched with his kind spirit gives you some comfort. God Bless
My sympathies to Alan’s Family , I am saddened that Alan has passed. I will always be thankful for the opportunity to meet and work for him though. Alan was more than my employer or boss, he was a true friend and someone that I confided in daily. He was a great person to just share time with. I’m sorry I couldn’t be at the service but my thoughts go out to the family, as well as all of his friends and coworkers. Alan will be missed by everyone that knew him.
I’m sad to hear about Alan passing. I grew up with Alan riding motorcycles at Roys farm. His father Roy worked for my dad at JS Alberci construction. And Wm R Montgomery assoc. Alan was one of the best motorcycle riders that I knew growing up. I’m sure Alan was loved by many.
