Eila Anneli Sinikka Pearmund, 75, a resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away peacefully Monday, May 29, 2023 at Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City in Kansas City, MO. She was born October 17, 1947 to Veikko and Vieno Lehtinen (maiden name Tiainen) in Oitti, Syvänoja 4KP, Finland.
Eila was united in marriage to Colin Pearmund on June 18, 1971 in London, England. She spent her working career as a dress maker and designer. Eila enjoyed gardening, taking walks, reading, and traveling with her husband Colin. Eila also loved to bake the best homemade Finnish “pulla” enjoyed by all the family. Above all Eila cherished spending time with her grandchildren.
Survived by her loving husband, Colin Pearmund of Blue Springs, MO; children, Katariina Fuller and husband David of Blue Springs, MO, Daniel and Tracie Pearmund of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Eila Fuller, Clark Fuller, Everett Fuller; siblings, Esa Lehtinen, Eero Lehtinen. Eila is preceded in death by her parents.

Wayne Dale Bruington, 83, a resident of Gladstone, MO passed away peacefully Thursday, May 25, 2023 in his home, with his loving family by his side. Wayne was born February 23, 1940 to Ted and Gertrude (Hale) Bruington in Lenox, Iowa.
He graduated from North Kansas City High School. Wayne grew up with the family-owned carnival, Hale’s Shows of Tomorrow, where he met his future wife, Julie. Wayne spent the majority of his working career for CertainTeed, Allied Signal and Ecolab. Following retirement, Wayne drove for Sunset Tours, a job he truly enjoyed. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with family, was an avid Chiefs and Royals fan, collected World War II memorabilia and had a love for animals, especially dogs.
Wayne is survived by his son Brent Bruington (Kendra); two grandchildren: Alec Bruington and Brandon Bruington; Sister-in-law, Janice Uptegrove and her three sons and their families. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julie Ann (Watkins) Bruington; both parents; and two siblings. Gordon “Skip” and Gloria Arnone.

Kingston James Stark, Alexys Warger and David Stark’s sweet baby boy was born on May 25, 2023. He had the softest skin, Kingston looked just like his daddy with his mommy’s cheeks. Kingston was 7lb 4oz and 20 inches. Even though his time here was short the impact he had on our lives was huge and will be dearly missed. Kingston will forever be in our hearts and be our guardian angel.
Kingston is survived by his mommy and daddy, loving grandparents and family.
Cynthia Bristol 05.23.2023
Cynthia Zoe Bristol, 74, a resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at her home. She was born December 2, 1948 to William and Helen (Hornbeak) Baum in St. Louis, MO.
Cynthia attended Missouri State University and worked as a nurse’s aide to get herself through school. She also volunteered for Vista helping under privileged families in the Springfield, MO area. Cynthia later attended Central Missouri State where she received her master’s degree in Speech Pathology. She was united in marriage to Donald Bristol on August 15, 1970 in Springfield, MO. Cynthia worked as a speech pathologist in the Independence School District. She enjoyed traveling with Donald, going to Hawaii, Alaska, Mexico, and even having a place in the Grand Cayman Islands. They were members of the Midwest MG club which was a group that drove British sports cars to different destinations. Cynthia and Donald also traveled to Sturgis, SD twice by motorcycle and once in a corvette. She always had exotic cat breeds, such as Savanah and Persian. Above all she cherished spending time with her family.
Survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Donald Bristol of Blue Springs, MO; daughter, Devon Strahm and husband Andrew of Kansas City, MO; son, Derek Bristol and wife Crystal of Blue Springs, MO; grandchildren, Sawyer, Emerson, Titus; step-grandson, Jaden; sister, Melissa Bristol and husband Jerry of Houston, TX. Cynthia is preceded in death by her mother, Helen Melrose; step-father, Thomas Melrose; father, William Baum.

Charles Milton Johnson, 64, a resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away unexpectantly Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at his home. He was born June 12, 1958 to Milton and Martha (Taylor) Johnson in Centralia, MO.
Charles graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1976. He was united in marriage to his High School sweetheart Debra Jane Dorris on October 31, 1986 in Independence, MO. Charles spent his working career as a heavy machine operator for Local #53 for 35 years. He was a member of the Hot Rod Club. Charles also enjoyed working on and showing unique classic cars. His greatest joy came from spending time with his children and especially his grandchildren.
Survived by his son, Charles A. Johnson and wife Alana and their children, Alexander, Charlotte, and Emersyn of Grafton, MA; daughter, Raelynn Basney and her children, Logan and Danielle of Kansas City, MO; siblings, Robert Johnson of Grain Valley, MO, Sharon Spillers of Sedalia, MO, Judy Guebert and husband Perry of Cape Girardeau, MO, Leisa Penix of Sedalia, MO, Gary Ladue and wife Carole of Albany, NY, Clinton Ladue and wife Donna of Sedalia, MO. Charles is preceded in death by his loving wife, Debra Johnson; parents, Milton and Martha Johnson.
A celebration of Charles and Debra’s lives will be held 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 2, 2023 at Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St, Blue Springs, MO.
