Merle D. Leners, 82, a Northland resident of Kansas City, Missouri; formerly of Clay Center and Salina, Kansas passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 28, 2023 after battling both cancer and Parkinson’s disease for the last several years. Merle was born December 17, 1940 to Thees and Tina (Eden) Leners in rural Nebraska.
Merle was united in marriage with Suzanne L. Hungerford on April 10, 1964 in Wilcox, Nebraska. From this union they had two sons, Marty and Bradley. [Read more…]
Robert John “Bob” Werthmuller, 98, Kansas City, KS (formerly of Weatherby Lake, MO) passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 28, 2023. Bob was born December 9, 1924 in Brooklyn, New York.

Judith A. Morris, 80, a resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away peacefully Monday, February 27, 2023 at Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, MO. She was born January 20, 1943 to Hugh and Evelyn (Walker) Scott in Jackson County, MO.
Judith was a 1961 graduate of Pittsburgh High School in Pittsburgh, KS. She worked as a bookkeeper for a parts manufacturing company for several years. Judith cherished spending time with her family and friends. [Read more…]
James “Jim” Lee Strope, 79, a resident of Grain Valley, MO passed away peacefully Saturday, February 25, 2023 at his home. He was born January 14, 1944 to Victor and Eileen (Volmer) Strope in Montrose, MO.

Clara “Buttons” Louise Jimerson, 73, a resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away peacefully Friday, February 24, 2023 in her husband’s arms at their home. She was born March 14, 1949 to William E. and Thelma L. (Davis) Drechsel in Louisville, KY.
Buttons was united in marriage to James “Jim” Jimerson on September 5, 1970 in Murray, KY. She was a home maker but previously spent time working as a Mary Kay consultant, real estate agent, and a substitute teacher, volunteering with the Independence School District to assist with children’s reading skills. On October 24, 2022 Loretta was promoted and named manager of our Northland location. Loretta and her husband Cade live in Kansas City, MO. She has two sons, Nigel and Ian. Loretta is enrolled in the Leadership Northland Class with the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the KCI Rotary Club.
