Nikki graduated from Savannah High School in 1995. She worked as an office manager and an oral surgery assistant for over twenty years with Dr. Robert and Nancy Kern, they became family to her. Barbara Sharen “Bobbie” Jordan, 84, of Parkville, MO passed away peacefully Monday, January 30, 2023 with her loving family by her side at NorthCare Hospice House. Barbara was the 6th of 9 children born to James Louis and Margaret “Ada” (Higgins) Keating on October 16, 1938 in Blaine, Kansas.
Bobbie was united in marriage with Joe Jordan on August 16, 1958. Together they had three sons, Tim, Todd and Troy. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe, three sons Tim, Todd and Troy, both parents and eight siblings. She is survived by 9 grandchildren (Tatum, Alex, McKinsey, Tess, Tyler, Shannon, Gabriel, Teddi, and Emilee) and 4 great-grandchildren (Van, Layla, Elam, and Cal).
Bobbie enjoyed spending time with her family and being involved with her community American Legion Parkville Post#318, Parkville VFW Post#7356 and supporting the Senior Helpers of Platte County. She loved sitting on the front porch with her dog Farley, playing slot machines at the casino, and reading books in her favorite recliner chair. She also enjoyed socializing with others on social media and making her famous chocolate cake. Despite many obstacles, Bobbie’s unshakeable strength and optimism allowed her to live a complete, loving, and adventure-filled life surrounded by friends and family. Bobbie’s smile and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.
The family will receive friends for Visitation Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville, MO. In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Stroke Foundation. Memories of Bobbie and condolences to the family may be shared at meyersfuneralchapel.com

Roy Dale Loyd, 63, a Northland resident of Kansas City, MO passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023. He was born January 23, 1960 in Kansas City, MO to John and Betty (Duncan) Loyd. They preceded him in death.
Roy attended schools in North Kansas City and later from the Northland Career Center. He spent the majority of his working career as a supervising maintenance engineer for Marriott Hotels. [Read more…]
