Vera Nell Slaughter, 86, a resident of Independence, MO passed away peacefully Friday, September 30, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 12, 1936 to Jesse and Leota (Bedford) Martin in Colorado City, TX.
Vera was united in marriage to Arthur Slaughter on March 2, 1954 in Centerton, AR. She spent the majority of her working career as a receptionist at a doctor’s office. [Read more…]
Robert Allen Van Horn, 89, a Northland resident of Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, September 30, 2022. At the time of his passing, Mr. Van Horn was at home under hospice care. He was born May 9, 1933 in Gravette, AR to Wallace and Lottie (Bryant) Van Horn.
Bob graduated from North Kansas City High School, and proudly served in the United States Army, during the Korean Conflict. He had a long and rewarding career as a machinist for American Can Company, making Folgers coffee cans. [Read more…]

Gregory Ultican, 61, of Blue Springs, MO passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 29, 2022. He was born August 4, 1961 in Lawrence, KS to Gary Duane and Linda Mae (Stapleton) Ultican. Greg graduated from Raytown High School, Class of 1979 and attended the University of Missouri at Columbia.

Wilbert “Bill” Edward Dill, 84, a resident of Oak Grove, MO passed away peacefully Thursday, September 29, 2022 at NorthCare Hospice House in North Kansas City, MO. He was born May 29, 1938 to Buryl and Faye (Hughes) Dill in Kansas City, MO.

On October 24, 2022 Loretta was promoted and named manager of our Northland location. Loretta and her husband Cade live in Kansas City, MO. She has two sons, Nigel and Ian. Loretta is enrolled in the Leadership Northland Class with the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the KCI Rotary Club.
